Star Wars Fan Film
Lucasfilm and Atomfilms are running a contest for dramatic/serious Starwars fan films. They've done this for spoofs and documentaries in the past, but this year they've added the "fan fiction" category. The deadline is April 30th. Finalists will be shown on Spike TV and as always, George will be picking the winner.

The lightsaber duel was choreographed by Nils Onsanger of Black Knights Stunts.

Battlestar Galactica Shoot
Chris working on a short for a contest Sci-Fi Channel has launched in which contestants create a 4 minute film based on the new Battlestar Galactica. Michael Wesley Bay wrote and directed the film "In Memory Of Those Left Behind". The film is the story of a Raptor Pilot who is trying to protect his young daughter from the brutal enforcement of Cylon occupation.
In addition to Chris, the short stars Emma Page, Roxzane Mims, Andrea Moore, William Hajdu, and Ashley LeConte Campbell.

Short Film "Voices"
Chris began filming a short called "Voices" for the Women's Angle Project Directed by Cara Price and produced by Michael Wesley Bay. The rest of the cast include Melissa Lowe, Vince Canlas, Charles Judson, Daniel Burnley, Josie Burgin-Lawson, Greg Thompson, and the short stars Mary Kraft. Chris plays her boyfriend who is trying to please the family more than her.

Working with Fark T.V.
Chris just shot with the Fark T.V. team for the second time yesterday. Here's a link to the short...
They take daily news stories and twist them in to sketch comedy skits.
In this skit, they covered a story (and this was covered by the media) about a guy who was going to euthanise his two pets until he noticed the face of Christ had appeared on the doggie door. He decided that this was a sign of divine intervention so he spared the animals an untimely death. They filmed this as a parody trailer ape-ing "The Da Vinci Code" entitled "The Dog Vinci Code"

Chris just wrapped shooting "The Honored" for Lava Productions/Lavander Orchid Pictures. It is a story set during the Civil War where a man's immortal soul balances on the edge between salvation and damnation.
November 2006
"The Cord" -- Twenty-four city-winning teams participated in the 48 Hour Film Project Fall Shootout on the weekend of November 3rd. Each team received a character, prop, line of dialogue, and genre for its film by email on Friday, November 3rd, at 7pm local time and sent their films in by the end of business on Monday, November 6th. Portrayed Eugene Black, a college student who's testimony
had been comprimised in "Translated Insight", a play that recreated
the 1912 court case of the United States Govt. vs. Thomas Watson dealing
with censorship. The play was performed in the exact same Federal Courthouse
and courtroom that the actual trial took place.
